Hobby Hole: Extra Life 2012 Only One Month Away
When I wrote about Extra Life last year, I mentioned that there are some things that are more important than than getting my name on a book. And that still holds true.
While I go to great lengths to search for some semblance of notoriety, I also take time from my schedule to participate in choice charitable acts, such as the upcoming Read Aloud Day in my hometown, and the annualized videogame marathon that is Extra Life: 24 hours of gaming starting October 20 at 8 AM to generate awareness and raise funds for the Children's Miracle Network.
My hospital of choice: the Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford.
I won't go into the whole spiel today, because I know you likely don't think you have the time for that. But I will say that I hope you visit my donation page and/or consider joining the team we've established (Obso1337). More information about Extra Life and the Children's Miracle Network charity can be found at either page.
My personal goal this year's only $200. We've blown way beyond that in year's past, so help me see just how close we can get to the team goal of $1,000 before the month is through.
As always, thanks to all of you in advance.
