One More Round of Editing to Go. But First…

Last week, I wrapped what I believe should be the second-to-last round of editing on Book Four before sending it off with queries later this year. I say second-to-last because, though I’m content with the content (isn’t English fun?), and feel the nuances and subtleties and language is all on-point, I’ve asked a few friends to give it a read and let me know if I’m completely off-base and off my rocker.

I don’t think they will, but it’s hard to say. Because while one has read Sanity’s Flaw and enjoyed it, the other, I believe, hasn’t read a drop of my writing. I chose him purposely because of this, as I trust his opinion but like the fact he’s coming to my work with something of a blank slate. If he has questions, if he has problems with the text, I’m certain others will as well, so I plan on taking his feedback very seriously.

One piece of advice I happened to overlook: always be sure to delete comments when sending reading files out. I’m hoping they play little into the overall opinions, but you never know and it’s too late to go back now.

More news soon.
